And thats just what happened Decem-ber 7 on Lake Anna.At 5:30 pm boat captains convened as part of the first annual Lighted Boat Parade held by the Lake Anna Business Partnership,theLake Anna Taphouse and Tims at Lake Anna.TheCaptainsMeetingandstarting point was the Taphouse where Master of Ceremonies and lake resident Mike Cleaves did a safety briefing and went over the route with the participants.Alsoparticipatingweremembers of the Louisa County Sheriffs Office, SpotsylvaniaFire&Rescueand Tow B USINESS PABoat US, each in their respective craft. N A R T Nine decorated boats fired up theirA N Nlights,didalooparoundHighPointE E RK Sand Anna Point Marina and then head- A HIed up lake to their destination at TimsL Prestaurant. Not only did they wow many lake res-idents that gathered at the Taphousse and at Tims, the parade also drew rave reviews from residents living along the route.A huge crowd awaited the procession and Santa at Tims. Judges and fami-lies gathered on the deck at Tims, brav-ing the cold to welcome the boats and Santas arrival. As each boat filed past the docks the judges made their deci-sions on first, second and third place.LABP President Mark Smith, Louisa County Supervisor Duane Adams and Spotsylvania County Supervisor Kevin Marshall named Cleaves Pirate Ship the Grand Prize winner - a special, met-al photo print of the Rt. 208 provided by Lake Anna Photography.
