A funny thing happened to that deal with the developer though it didnt close and thats another story for another time. Within minutes of the initial deal falling through there was a back-up contract waiting to be signed. The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and several members of theVirginia General Assembly had been shown the property and decid- ed to fund a bid to purchase it and add it to the Lake Anna State Park on the other side of Ware Creek.
